Talbot Reel & Mfg. " STAR " K.C. Mo. Trade Reel Made for SCHMELZER ARMS CO. K.C. Mo. Circa -1912 With Leather Case.. This is a Trade Reel for Schmelzer Arm Company from K.C. MO. This very fine german silver reel is very clean, very fast and the clicker is strong and loud. Beautiful simple head plate rim with raised edges on both sides . The foot is clean and not manicured. The counter balanced handle is clean and straight and the grip spins freely. Bearing covers are Knurled, clean and again correct for this reel. The leather case is in good condition with a working buckle. A fantastic example of the Talbot Star reel to collect or fish but a must have for Schmelzer collectors.
