Winchester No. 2230 60 yard Utililty Fishing Reel Circa 1919. This is a Nickel plated over brass 60 yard Utility Reel brought over from Hendryx after the purchase by Winchester. This reel was really designed for the beginner fisher-person or child . The reel is clean, smooth and fast, the clicker is weak but the brake works perfectly. The handle is clean and straight and the grip spins freely and catalog correct. The foot is clean and straight . This hard working Winchester 100 year old reel was fished hard for years and it does show a little brass and plate loss in a couple areas. Its a nice example of a Winchester early reel.
