UCO (Ulrich Mfg. Co.) Centerville, Calif. "SPIN FLY" 1st Model with Rare Original Box & Instructions Circa-1953
UCO (Ulrich Mfg. Co.) Centerville, Calif. "SPIN FLY" 1st Model with Rare Original Box & Instructions Circa-1953. This is a light weight 6 1/2 oz Aluminum with black anodized framed reel showing the Patent Applied for and Spin Fly name on the face. Very unusual design and advertised to use for all types of fishing. Research says it was mainly a Steelhead reel however. Its a never fished very fine reel and comes with a strong clicker, removable aluminum spool, bird cage arbor, line guide on back plate and dual machined handle grips. Runs smoothly, extremely fast with no wobble. The box is the first example I have ever seen and its in great condition showing just a little storage wear with a clean label. The rare original instructions are also in very good condition showing just the box folds. Great rare never seen combination from the Bay area of California.
