Sterling Trade Mark Skeleton No. 4152 60 Yard by Ocean City with Original Trade Box Circa-1940
Sterling Trade Mark Skeleton by Ocean City with Original Trade Box Circa-1940. Sterling was a trade mark for H.A. Whittemore a fishing tackle retailer from 1901-1970 in Boston. This is a rare combination rarely seen together. This Ocean City Manufacuring Co. raised pillar skeleton reel is finished in black gun metal and in good condition only showing storage wear and slight paint finish loss. This small reel spins straight and true with no wobble. The rear plate mounted clicker functions perfect. The rare maroon box is also in good shape and again showing some storage wear but it functions perfect and the label is pretty clean. This is a combination very rarely seen and tough. See the last 2 photo’s for references.
