Extremely Rare South Bend ( Shakespeare Made) No. 2500 Level Winding Anti-Backlash Jeweled Stainless Steel Casting Reel Circa- 1939. The 2500 is basically the Shakespeare Super Reel and came with unique maroon modeled spacers and handle grips. This was a very fine reel for South Bend and sold in 1939 for 30.00. Its made with Stainless steel front and rear plates and has a rotating clicker button positioned in the 2:00 O’clock position that functions perfectly. This reel is in great condition with all parts catalog correct. This is a smooth level winding reel that glides easily side to side with a full working ABL. The Leather case has the South Bend Trademark on the flap and is in very good condition with a working snap. Very Rare Cool Reel tough to find .
