Rudolph Kilian- Fraser-Kilian Neo Caster multiplier reel, Model FKR-1 Hammer Grey finish & Extra Spool with Original Box Circa-1956
Extremely Rare Rudolph Kilian- Fraser-Kilian Neo Caster multiplier reel, Model FKR-1 with Original Box Circa-1956. Rudolph Kilian, Baldwinsville, was granted at least 3 reel patents, beginning in 1949. He applied for a patent for a baitcaster without a tailplate in 1949, but it wasn't granted till 1954. The purpose of the design was to allow for easy spool changing. A curious little thing from the 1950s, approximately 2 ¼” diameter, open end quick release spool, the reel is fitted with star drag, ratchet and brake adjusters providing both a check clicker and a smooth brake for the drum. With factory twin alloy handles and original grey hammer finish, it’s an attractive new reel never fished with everything functioning perfectly. Extra spool is also new never used still in original bag. Box is extremely rare as well and in great stored condition with a clear label. Rare, Fantastic Combination in new condition.
