Pflueger WORTH No. 1823JDH Jeweled 60 Yard with maroon original Chimney Box Circa - 1914. This is a newer fast spinning Kentucky style reel with a strong clicker and Brake mounted on the face. The Jewels are removable and cover the bearings perfectly. The two patents show clearly on the back plate along with the early serial no. 4699. The double grip handle or the DH on the box number is double amber grips balanced nicely with free spinning grips. The foot is full length , clean and not manicured showing the spools yardage of 60. Very fine . The Rare never seen box is Important here because it shows the 1823J for Jeweled and the DH for double Grip Handle it is in good condition showing limited shelf wear and the old label is clean. Fantastic Rare combo and a very clean example of the early WORTH by Pflueger Enterprise
