Vintage Montague Early Pennell Trademark Reel 40 yards Circa- 1900. Very Rare Tiny 40 yard version of this reel never seen. This is a true early nickel silver plated reel including both plates, spool, pillars, foot and nicely knurled rim trims. Its a Early Edward Tryon Co. Pennell Trademark reel from Penn. . Its very fast and smooth spinning with a strong rear plate clicker and brake. The handle is clean and counter balanced. The grip spins freely and shows some grain like a wood finish but it shows no cracks or breaks, actually looks pretty cool. This reel is simple but ellegant in design and use. All nickel silver is pretty clean and shows little wear. Great early reel never seen in 40 yard small size….
