Meisselbach Good Luck Trout #6 Skeleton Fly Reel Bronze Finish Circa-1915
Extremely Rare Meisselbach Good Luck Trout #6 Bronze Finish Circa-1915. This is the Meisselbach stripped down version of the Meisselbach Featherlight # 260 from 1906 and measures 2 1/4 inches across the face with a 3/4 inch spool opening. Some fisherman said this was the lightest weight Skeleton Fly reel available in early 1900. The cross plates and head plate ring was removed from the Meisselbach Featherlight #260 to achieve weight reduction. This did however make this reel easy to bend and damage so very few survived. This fine reel spins fast and smooth with no wobble. It came in nickel silver and this even more rare bronze finish. This Bronze Finish is spectacular and untouched not even wiped down. The rear plate clicker is mounted in a fishermans position and works strong and loud when asked. The foot is clean and clearly shows the Good Luck and # 6 underneath. Its very RARE to find a Stamped version of this reel especially so clearly. Just a fantastic rare reel never seen.
