Vintage Circa 1930 BLUE GRASS No. 7 German Silver Fishing/Casting Reel Horton MFG. This is a Very fine condition reel made in 1930 for a short period of time by Horton Manufacturing. Although its a No. 7 its really not any bigger than a No. 3 Meek or Blue Grass Reel. The bigest difference is simple one less Pillar and the placement of the pillars for spool access and better ease in Casting. Its a fine quality reel thats fast and extremely smooth spinning. Spectacular knurled face plate rim and cool rear plate tail pattern. The clicker is strong and loud. The double tournament light weight handle is clean and the grips spin freely. Bearing covers are knurled nicely and typical of Horton during this period. The foot is straight, clean and not manicured and carries the serial number of #16792 buried underneath. This is a great example of a Great reel made exclusively by Horton MFG.
