J.W. Young Modarcom-London 390A. JW Young 390A in the 3 1/4" size, branded for Modarcom - London. Made in the mid-late 1930's, prior to Modarcom's move from London to Kent in 1939. The reel features an unblemished red agate line guard, ebonite handle, duplicated engageable pawls and the rim mounted tensioner works as intended. A very tight RHW reel with a pleasantly narrow, 1" spool. Reel spins clean, fast, and smooth and functions perfectly as intended.
