Vintage Circa -1917 James Heddon & Sons No. 45 Takapart style reel designed and built by William Carter . Head plate , tailplate and spool Made of fine German Silver. This reel flies fast, smooth and the clicker is extremely strong . The tournament double grip handles are clean, straight and the grips spin freely. The reels foot is in good condition showing a little wear and some brassy areas under spool and around the foot on the nickel plate foot frame so I have discounted this reel appropriatlely. Great fast tournament reel.
