Harry McVicker & Sons "BUSHKILL TROUT REEL" 3" Patent Pending Tuxedo N.Y. Circa-1946

$355.00

Harry McVicker & Sons BUSHKILL TROUT REEL 3" Patent Pending Tuxedo N.Y. Circa-1946. This 3” across with a 7/8” spool width aluminum & Alloy reel that came to us right after the War. I believe this is the second model so more like early 1950. I also believe this reel may have been sold exclusively by the Payne Rod Company which could explain why you dont see it much. At first glance it appears to be a less expensive less well made reel you might see a lot of but its anything but that. This is a very smartly built reel made extremely well and spins like the top tier makers example. Its smooth and fast with a adjustable activated check knob as seen on the spool face which functions perfectly. This example has been fished but still functions like new. My research told me its good up to 6 wt. line and can be reversed to left/right hand wind. Tough Collectors Reel!
