A German silver and hard rubber reel in size 1, having an unusual aluminum crank collar and rear sliding oil port cover with the 1883 date stamp. The 3" diameter, 1 1/8" wide spool reel has blemish free hard rubber side plates, shouldered pillars and aluminum spool flanges, partially covered by the old line that remains on the spool. Personalized in script letters "H.P.F." and "Trolling" on the head plate, this clicker switch equipped reel is in VG condition. The foot end is slightly altered, trimmed and indented at the other.
