Edward Vom Hofe ''PASQUE'' Model #481 Size 2/0 Circa-1883
EVH #481 PASQUE Size 2/0 Circa-1883. The Pasque derives from Pasque Island, Massachusetts, Part of a small chain of islands that guards the emtrance to Buzzards Bay. This Model #481 reel is early 1883-89 based on pinned oil covers and early front oil cover makers mark. This 2/0 size was the smallest size made during these years with no 1/0 avaliable. Reel spins very fast, and extremely smooth. The rear plate mounted clicker is very strong and loud when asked. This fine reel carries the early 1883 patent on the back sliding oil cap. The extremely clean hard rubber side plates are flawless with no chips or cracks. The german silver is in very fine condition including full length unmanicured foot, pillars, spool, and the handle with a spectacular free spinning hard rubber grip. Just a great early EVH reel.
