Early Brass Single Action S-Handle Reel Circa-1870-80. This is a very very fine example of a Fine Brass single action reel. Reel turns extremely smooth with no wobble or play. All Parts including fantastic S- Handle , real wood knob, screws including screw heads, and foot are in fantastic condition. Under the foot please see the very low yardage of 25 yards. I have no proof of the Maker of this fine reel. I can say this however that this beautiful reel handle where you would normally see a weight is flat and this was seen on reels designed by L.A. Kiefer who made reels between 1848 - 1886 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Very fine Reel and would be a centerpiece for any collection.
