Adolf Legrand "VICTORIA" DRP (Deutsch Reich Patent) Pre War Fly Reel Munich Germany Circa-1928

$335.00

Adolf Legrand "VICTORIA" DRP (Deutsch Reich Patent) Pre War Fly Reel Munich Germany Circa-1928. This is a very interesting clean reel with nice alloy and german silver. It spins very smooth, fast and straight with no wobble. A extremely over engineered reel that functions perfectly. The clicker works perfectly in both directions and favors right hand wind. The unique drag system knob with Stark (Thick) and Leicht (Slightly) on back plate also functions perfectly. Notice the unique inside rim drag (Bar) system which moves back and forth with line pressure, to me this seems like a trolling feature for a center pin style reel and it also functions perfectly. (See pictures for exactly what im trying to explain.) Reel measures 3 1/2 inches across the face and is a typical weight of a Hardy equivelent. The Pre War German DPR was a 15 year Patent FYI. Nice, interesting piece of Reel History.
